I did not know why so many ppl mod this box. It sucks/fails bad in handling due to the small wheelbase and height and yet still so many ppl mod it. I has been very dreamy lately. Dreaming of the future, I has been thinking of what car i should get first when i first come out for work. My first choice is a Satria Neo, a hot and affordable hatch and of course a 2nd hand unit. I wouldn't buy a brand new one as i wanted to mod the internals and body too. Now please don't flame me for getting that Neo as some say it suck to the max. As a true satria lover i wanted it as an enthusiasm. If got money sure will sell away that campro and transplant in a gsr or mivec.

My dream since young is to be a mat rempit. But my parents disallowed me to do so(they even disallowed me to even touch a motorcycle). So how? During that period after SPM there was long holiday, freedom was all mine and hanging out at night for almost everynight. Met up at Kg. Simee so that my friends can secretely rempit me around town disturbing ah gua's. Life that time was fun, carefree and less stress. Now to think of it, college life actually sucks. Traffic jam everyday, dead-line(assignment) pressures and away from home(I'm in KL now). But its still a good experience for learning to be independant. I changed a lot since. Thanks to the exposure to the urban life at KL. I've learned a lot

Air filter

This is my old oem air filter. It very dirty. No wonder my car lack power at times. So i think i will stick back to this oem filter and not changing to K&N due to the heavy price tag. Although according to many forumers, the K&N drop-in filter does provide a difference in perfomance, it needs to be maintained properly too. It needs to be cleaned every 5000km and it even needs a special oil to clean it in some ways. Unlike our normal air filters that can be easily cleaned with an airgun. Then after a bit of research here and there, I found that my car does not benefit much from the open pod filters as i said in the previous posts. The disadvantages are more then the advantages. Another factor is due to the Siemens-VDO ECU used as it is hard to tune with it.

Today i brought my slab to the garage for some minor services and a fine tune. Founded that my air filter is already short lived, it is replace with a protong oem drop-in air filter... although i really wanted a K&N. Then founded that my spark plug has also wore off, all 4 were replaced.

My tepet(valve clearance) has also been making noise so it has to be adjusted. This problem is very common in mitusbishi engines, Actually every cars has this tepet sound too. It goes like 'tak tak tak tak tak' and it can be annoying sometimes. Even BMWs has this too. But for mitsubishi models, it has to be adjusted more often compare to other cars

Then some tuning is done to the throttle body air intake system. Now the car feels more responsive and is all set-up for the highways

After love/hate stint with the muffler that i bought now i have decided to venture in air filter mods. I tore it down and replaced it back with my stock muffler.

-Acceleration from 120km/h to higher speeds are easier

-gives mid-high end power

-power ranging from mid to high end can be felt

-highway cruising made easier

After some researches and some opinions and tips from people, it suggested open-pod air filters as my car runs manual transmission

But I'm still considering it as i heard from other ppl that this thing kills low-end power but instantly gives you mid-high end power. And also drinks fuel if not tuned properly. And also I will be getting my internship next year so i think this thing will probably be a headache to me as in going to and back from work. Who knows if the car 'eats' more than u do...

When buying a car...I'm picky

I found out that im very picky when choosing cars.

When given an option me to choose a car, the 1st factor that will come to my mind is the transmission. For me its either manual or semi-auto. Manual....is manual like those manual in manual transmission cars so there is no need to explain here. As for the semi-auto transmission... its uncommon in many cars. Semi-auto transmission it works like a normal auto car just like P, D, N, R BUT next to the D option there is additional D+ and D- options meaning shift up and shift down without clutch! A computerized hydraulic arm controls the clutch for you

But even those kind of engineering doesn't suit me. What i want was a semi-auto transmission with paddle shift options.

These are paddle shifters mounted just behind your steering. D- on the left and D+ on the right. Like this you get total control over your car and best of all, no clutch is needed

I'd hate those fully automatic cars because they control you. After doing much research they ARE a few semi-auto cars that suits me

Honda Fit/Jazz Vtec 1.5 <-- only this particular cheap model has it. none for the i-dsi models. With paddle shift

Honda Civic FD2 2.0 - This model has it too just like the Fit

Mitsubishi Lancer 2.0 GT - also steering mounted paddle shifts

and thats all. For those with paddle shifters are usually BMWs and Benz. Out of my reach...

Engine review: Mitsubishi 4g13

Famous for being the widely used powerplant in most proton cars. This engine originated from Japan, Mitsubishi Motors. But by hearing the name Proton, you have already guessed that it is locally assembled for mass production of Protong cars. Yes there are a few mitsubishi powerplants in malaysia

It powered the 1.3litre variants of Satria and Wira

This displacement is 1.3litre, 1298cc to be exact, with a bore and stroke of 71.0 mm x 82.0 mm. SOHC layout and so far no DOHC variant is released.

Ok now im going to give a short review on this engine. First of all. The low end torque is quite a dissapointment. It can't be feeled even at 1st gear. Rev till 50km/h with 6k rpm almost at redline. Then switched to 2nd gear and pushed till 70 then to 3rd. It shows quite good engine response.

At 110km/h rpm at 3.8k per minute - this is where the BIG dissapointment comes in. I found that it lacks high end torque. But seriously it is just used to pull a Satria. Satrias are famous for being lightweight and STILL it is taking a hard time to get over 110. Yes its possible, but the engine looks like it is almost half dead for pushing 110 and above.

150km/h and above? It's still possible. As i was also using this piece of shit in my ride and i travel the highways often. There is a trick.... I count on the steep downhills at certain stretches of the highway. When going downhill I pushed the throttle to the maximum. And yes... it manages to reach 150km/h due to the downhill rolling power. But based on my experience, the tyres at that time where partially not touching the ground(I can feel it with my steering wheel) due to the uber lightweight of the satria and the car was shaking too(bad assembly in the interior and not to mention exterior too). I was afraid that it might skid. My life can't end that fast right? So i decided to slow down and back to 110.

The 'sweet spot' of this engine is that 100km/h. At that time you still can feel the quiteness of your ride. And the fuel consumption is excellent here if u manage to keep it at 100 constant.

Don't ever try to tekan it kuat kuat to reach 140 as the fuel that time was like...waterfall?
I saw it with my own eyes. The needle is going down and fast. This is due to the lack of high-end torque to steer it to 140km/h meaning the engine will consume more fuel in order to reach 140+

But that's not all.The good thing is... the engine structure is kinda robust. As i attemped for 2 attempts to push it till it reaches it's apocalypse in highway however i failed to destroy it. I was suprised that a locally built rubbish can handle such pressure. Impossible

Overall...this engine is....RUBBISH. I repeat. In terms of perfomance it is RUBBISH. Lacks low and high end torque. But there is good news. In terms of fuel consumption i decided to give it a 7/10 which is quite an unbelievable rating from me. Why is it? I found that this engine is ONLY suitable for city driving. The FC is very good for like traffic jams. This is where the 4g13 gets its name for the good fuel consumption and nothing else

Everyone else was waiting for a DOHC variant. If there is...it will not even succeed.

I trip is suppose to be happy but mine turned out to be disappointing.It was suppose to be a one day trip but one more day is added due to....failure to buy bus tickets home(completely sold out).It was a one day trip as planned but due to this problem we have to stay overnight...without clothes and with just 200 to spend.Imagine?

Just these few places also walk until we patah kaki.

Once upon a day I went to Hong Kong with my family......on a tour

1st day - 10/12/2007

As planned by the tour guide,journey will start at 2pm from Ipoh and will reach KLIA at 5pm sharp.The plane will fly at 9pm meaning all passengers must check in by 8pm to ensure a smooth journey.The journey started at 3pm instead! The delay was due to the late arrivals of some tour members.Dulan.Then during the journey more problems occur.Downpour and traffic jam at the highway has consumed damn lots of time.Finally we arrived at KLIA at 8.15pm.....late.But lucky they still accept check ins

Things got done at 3pm then tido~~ ZzzzZzzz....morning call at 8am and meet at lobby at 9am.Dulan.Then we went YMCA.Tour guide dispatced us on a free tour.She made YMCA as checkpoint in which we must return there at 5pm.Then we walk and walk and I noticed that advertising in Hong Kong is big business

Once upon a nite I went for bbq at friends crib.It was on a teh 25th of September which is last week and it was a mooncake festival.It was a very nice nite.We campuk money to buy something special to celebrate...Rum!! We want alcohol so i suggested it and dispatched a friend of mine which is already 18 years old this year,to buy this alcohol.At RM26.xx it boasts 40% alcohol enough to pwn a human with low alcohol immune with just one sip.

Common items to be bbqed are sausages ham and other raw stuffs but we have something more special not found in anywhere else.

Well known as Malaysia's only broadband service they provides us with such "good" connection.All bullshit.I took the RM77 package which gave me a connection speed up to 512kbps.Recently the connection speed is sloppy.Sometimes slow sometimes fast.Then I found this website which tests our connection speed for free @ [http://www.speedtest.net/]....and look what's happening...
This test shows that my download rate is just 45kb per second and uploading at 72kb.Fuck streamyx made me pay RM77 per month for a speed matching to those of dial-up modems.I sent an e-mail to streamyx.tm.net.my to complain XD

Another interesting story/rumor/gossip has just rose in my skool compound.Teachers fighting in office ar~~ Fuyoh!~ An act of God. It all started in the office rumored that both sides can't get to an agreement of some sorta business etc.There was 3 teachers in the room.Then the brawl started verbally. You fuck me I fuck u bla bla bla.Ok lets say there was Teacher A,B and C.Teacher A and B can't get to an agreement.Then the brawl started verbally like stated above between Teacher A and B.Then first blood was drawn by Teacher B by throwing a punch targeting Teacher A.Teacher C blocked the punch.Dish!~~.Muka bengkak poor fellow.However I was not watching it live.I've got this news from my classmates who was wandering around the skool due to boring-ness and they found out this interesting show Live from the office window.More reports coming soon
